Have you ever been driving down a two-lane highway in Kansas and seen an intriguing sign that says, "Visit the World's Deepest Hole"? Well, Peteena has, and she just couldn't resist. It turns out to be the largest hand-dug well in the world: 109' deep and 32' in diameter. It was dug in 1887, and turned into a tourist attraction in 1939. Well worth making a side trip!
